Who is Ante Kumanović?

Ante Kumanović, CPA, LL.M. Fisc., is a Chartered Professional Accountant, tax specialist and co-founder of KB Fiscalité inc. A member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec since 2001 and holder of a master’s degree in taxation from HEC Montréal (2004), he devotes his practice to corporate and personal taxation, from the strategic planning of tax reorganizations through to an efficient tax structure suited to each client’s needs.

What path led him to taxation?

Mr. Kumanović’s path runs straight through taxation. A graduate of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, he completed his bachelor’s degree and then his master’s degree in taxation at HEC Montréal. He gained his professional experience at Deloitte & Touche LLP and BDO LLP, two firms of international scale, as well as in mid-sized accounting firms, exposure that covers both large corporate files and the day-to-day realities of small and medium-sized businesses.

In 2010, he founded Kumanović et Associés to bring dedicated tax services to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region. That regional practice is the origin of what became KB Fiscalité.

What kinds of files does he handle?

Mr. Kumanović looks after the accounting and compliance side of the firm’s files, tax returns for corporations (the federal T2 and Quebec CO-17), individuals, trusts and non-residents, along with consumption taxes, GST at 5%, QST at 9.975% and other provincial taxes. He also supports clients through a CRA or Revenu Québec audit and contributes to the firm’s tax planning work, including income splitting and taxes at death. Like the firm’s other professionals, he is a member of the APFF (Association de planification fiscale et financière).
