Our team of tax professionals

The KB Fiscalité team pairs tax lawyer Thierry Bouchard with Chartered Professional Accountant and tax specialist Ante Kumanović, two co-founders who bring law and accounting together for businesses and families across Quebec.

Who is behind KB Fiscalité?

KB Fiscalité inc. is led by its two co-founders, Thierry Bouchard, LL.B., D. Fisc., a tax lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec, and Ante Kumanović, CPA, LL.M. Fisc., a Chartered Professional Accountant and tax specialist. Working from 24 Saint-Jean-Baptiste Avenue in Vaudreuil-Dorion, they advise businesses, incorporated professionals and families throughout Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Greater Montreal and the rest of Quebec.

The two-professional structure is deliberate. Significant tax files (a corporate reorganization, a business transfer, an estate plan) almost always have both a legal side and an accounting side. At KB Fiscalité, both sides are handled by the same team, from the first diagnosis through to implementation.

What does pairing a tax lawyer with a tax accountant change?

Pairing a tax lawyer with a tax accountant covers the full life cycle of a plan. The lawyer designs and drafts the legal structures (corporation, discretionary trust, shareholder agreement) while the accountant looks after the numbers, from the federal T2 and Quebec CO-17 corporate returns to consumption taxes (GST at 5%, QST at 9.975%). Clients work within a single file instead of coordinating a law firm and an accounting firm on their own.

Which professional organizations do they belong to?

The firm’s professionals are members of the APFF (Association de planification fiscale et financière), an organization active in Canadian and Quebec taxation. Those memberships support ongoing monitoring of tax legislation and of how the CRA and Revenu Québec interpret it, the foundation of planning that holds up over time. You will find each professional’s detailed profile below.
